Paeonia lactiflora 'Sarah Bernhardt' (Lemoine 1906). Highly clean, h 110 cm, hardy, long-lived, well reproducible, with shiny dark green leaves. Flowers large, pink, densely filled, late flowering, in need of support. When the flowers open, light pink at first, later turn white. Needs moist, humus-rich soil. Give the plant a little more fertilizer in spring and autumn and fertilize during flowering. After flowering, the inflorescence stems cut to the ground. This variety is one of the most widely grown and sold varieties in the world, although it is over 100 years old.
